The DOCUmart is a one-day pitching/co-financing session where filmmakers can pitch their documentary ideas to a panel of potential broadcasters and investors.
Entry to the pitching is competitive and all submissions must be received by 5pm Tuesday, 4 January 2005. A panel of filmmakers and industry people will make the selection of finalists.
If you have a presale or a letter of interest already attached to the project it will be advantageous in the selection process.
If you are able to screen a clinep in your pitch this will also be advantageous in the selection process.
If you have a broadcaster or distributor attached to your project they can pitch alongside your production team.
The 2005 DOCUmart also invites cross platform applinecations and relevant commissioners will be in the DOCUmart panel.

You must enclose the following with your application form:
One page synopsis
Two page treatment
One page production budget
One page of production information including details of key personnel
If applinecable, also include copies of letters of commitment from broadcasters or any other funding bodies.
If accepted to pitch, the one page synopsis, two page treatment and one page production budget will be printed in the program.
Please do not send more information than is requested. Eg: resumes or long treatments as your application cannot be accepted!
Notification Of Sucessful Applicants
Applicants will receive a receipt of application by email. Please do not call to check your application has arrived.
Successful applicants will be notified via email by late January 2005 .
Due to the volume of applications received, we regret that we are not able to notify unsuccessful applicants.
If Your Application Is Sucessful
There will be intensive pitch training prior to the conference.
The DOCUmartwill be held on the third day of the conference, Wednesday 23 February 2005.
Each pitch will be limited to seven minutes followed by feedback from the panel.
The one page synopsis, two page treatment and one page production budget will be printed in the program.
ALL DOCUmart applicants are required to register for the AIDC if they wish to attend.
