Documentary Screenings at AIDC
In 2005, the AIDC is delighted to offer delegates many different venues for the documentary screenings program ranging from the Adelaide Film Festival to the mini cinema in the conference venue and private viewings in the videotheque.
Film Festival
In 2005, the AIDC is presenting concurrently with the Adelaide Film Festival. The inaugural Adelaide Film Festival (AFF) was held in 2003, started by the Premier of SA, The Hon. Mike Rann. The AFF is one of the few film festivals in the world with a production fund and the AFF have demonstrated commitment to documentary with over 60% of their program being documentary works and by committing investment funds into documentaries.
The AIDC screening program will be published by the AFF. You can enter your documentary into the AFF (deadline is 25 October 2004) via their website. Note: You can not "enter" your documentary for public screening at the AIDC but you can submit it into the Videotheque. For public screenings, please enter the AFF via their website.
The AFF have generously offered a special access pass for AIDC delegates. Delegates of the AIDC can buy a pass to the AFF for the duration of the conference for a bargain price of AUD$20. This pass will give AIDC delegates unlimited access to the AFF program. More details in the AIDC Delegate Registration Form.
Videotheque
The AIDC Videotheque offers delegates the opportunity to have their documentaries in the doc shop library which is used extensively by distributors, program buyers and other delegates for viewing documentaries. If you wish to enter your documentary into the videotheque, please click here.
Mini Cinema in the AIDC venue
Each day the AIDC mini cinema will celebrate documentaries from a different region of the world. The mini cinema program will put the spotlight on Australian Docs as well as the International Delegations at the AIDC. The program in the mini cinema will be announced with the full AIDC program.
